MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) belongs to a multidisciplinary field, and has collected many cutting-edge achievements of today's scientific and technological development. Southeast University has established a MEMS research institution based on the disciplines of electronic science and technology of the School of Electronic Science and Engineering (national key disciplines, double first-class construction disciplines, the latest round of discipline evaluation, Peking University and Tsinghua University are listed as A), combined with engineering mechanics, machinery, materials, physics and other related superior disciplines. In 1999, he applied for the establishment of a key laboratory of the Ministry of Education for MEMS, passed the feasibility demonstration of the Ministry of Education in 2000, passed the acceptance inspection of the Ministry of Education in 2001, and successfully passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Education in 2002, 2007, 2012 and 2018.
At present, the laboratory has 21 professors/researchers, 21 associate professors/associate researchers, 4 lecturers and 4 engineering technicians, including CJ scholar distinguished professors of the Ministry of Education, winners of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, IEEE Fellow, etc. A group of scholars hold important positions in academic organizations or professional institutions at home and abroad. The laboratory is a key construction department of the National 211 Project and the 985 Project, and has research facilities of international advanced level. In recent three years, the laboratory has successively undertaken a large number of major scientific research projects, including the national key research and development plan, the national 973 plan, the national major scientific research instrument development, the national natural science fund key projects, the Ministry of Education and local governments, and has made a series of original major achievements. He is currently a professor, senior researcher and doctoral supervisor of the key laboratory of MEMS of the Ministry of Education of the School of Electronic Science and Engineering of Southeast University.
